As businesses in the State of Washington reopen, there are strict protocols that we must follow in order to stay in compliance with the guidelines that the CDC have put in place. Governor Inslee has announced reduced restrictions on non-urgent medical and dental procedures in his proclamation which can be found at

Our office has always taken the health and safety of our patients very seriously and it has always been our number one priority. We want you to rest assured that our team will use theirskills and training to make the most educated decision in providing you with the best treatment for your dental health. In addition to ouralready top-notch health and safety precautions, we will be implementing the following protocols to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit that is adhering to the ADA and CDC recommendations.

  • All patients will be thoroughly screened by phone before their reserved appointment. The current protocol is to screen patients by asking questions regarding contact and exposure of COVID-19.
  • Upon arrival, we ask that patients check into their appointment by verbal confirmation with the designated front office team member. Every patient will be offered a mask and hand sanitizer. All team members and patients will complete the daily screening procedures. You will be asked to complete a short questionnaire regarding your recent activities. As patients and staff members arrive, their temperature will be recorded. Patients with a fever will kindly be asked to reschedule for the safety of other patients and staff members.
  • We ask that patients do not bring any outside food or drink items into the practice. For better control of contact areas, all treatment plan presentations, payments, and future scheduling will be completed while the patient is seated in the treatment area.  We are committed to maintaining OSHA and CDC infection control guidelines within our practice and will ensure all team members are equipped with the PPE required to protect both our patients and our team.
  • We politely ask that you do not bring anyone with you to your appointment unless they also are being seen.
  • In our waiting room, we have installed a HEPA filter to constantly have fresh, clean air circulating. Throughout the office, there is a high-powered filtering AC system as well.
  • When you arrive in your treatment room, you will be given a peroxide or chlorhexidine rinse to reduce/kill any bacteria in your mouth before proceeding with treatment.
  • Every half-hour our team will complete a “disinfectant sweep” by disinfecting all door handles, desk areas and bathrooms with sanitizing wipes.
  • As much as we enjoy spending time with our patients during their dental visit, we ask that you respect social distancing requirements by avoiding contact with others such as hand-shaking, hugging, touching or sharing non-treatment related items. We ask that you stay six feet from others while in the waiting room as well.

We look forward to your visit and we understand that you may be apprehensive initially. We are here for you and want you to feel as comfortable as possible. If you have any additional questions regarding our new protocols or have any requests, please feel free to call our office at 509.747.8779.
